Founded in 1971, Birthright Counseling, St. Louis is a non-profit organization providing free, confidential and professional counseling as well as practical assistance to women facing an untimely pregnancy.
Birthright offers positive alternatives to abortion. We believe it is the right of every pregnant woman to give birth and the right of every child to be born. We know that every woman has amazing strengths. We are here to help women find the resources they need to think clearly and feel reassured about their pregnancy.
We do not judge our clients or their situation. We do not use religious beliefs to sway a woman’s decision. We do not make women’s decisions for them. We do not show clients graphic pictures or try to scare them. We are not a medical clinic. We are not politically involved. Our sole focus is to support women in choosing life. Every woman is welcome at Birthright Counseling, St. Louis.

Birthright Counseling, St. Louis has 3 office locations. Offices are in Brentwood, Central West End, and Hazelwood.
Birthright Counseling, St. Louis operates solely on private donations from individuals, businesses and foundations and accepts no government funding.
We do participate in the MO Pregnancy Resource Tax Credit Program. All donations of $100.00 or more are eligible to receive a 70% Missouri Pregnancy Resource Center Tax Credit. A tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction of the income tax that you owe. This is different than a tax deduction. The state of Missouri has set no limits to the amount of credits available.

Donations may be mailed to the Brentwood office or delivered in person to our Brentwood location during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 4pm.

Online gifts have an immediate and significant impact on our ability to counsel and care for women with unplanned pregnancies. Donations are gratefully accepted anytime online here.
Your gift can be applied to your choice of:
- General Donation
Provides professional counseling which includes ongoing individual, group and postpartum counseling as well as classes, workshops and practical assistance as needed. - The Melissa’s Smile Program
Provides professional counseling and support for parents whose baby has been diagnosed prenatally with a genetic abnormality or a serious medical condition. - The Friends of Birthright Scholarship Program
Assists with tuition, rent or textbook bills for women who would not be able to continue their education due to their unplanned pregnancy.
Volunteering

Whether it’s a friendly, comforting voice on the phone, a smile when they walk through our doors, or the countless unseen jobs performed in our offices, Birthright Counseling would not exist without dedicated volunteers. Item Donations
Since 1971, item donations by our friends, neighbors, schools, churches, and organizations have kept our moms and babies equipped with everything they need to have a good start. We would be unable to offer practical assistance without you!
Our current Baby Wish List includes:
- Diapers sizes newborn through 4
- Baby wipes
- Sleepers sizes 0-3 months
- Onesies sizes 0-3 months
- Socks
- Receiving blankets
- Pacifiers in sealed package
- Bottles in sealed package
- Portable crib fitted sheets (Pack n Play sized or near)
We currently have an excess of handmade blankets and will not need more until the colder seasons.
We’re sorry, but we cannot accept car seats, furniture, baby equipment, food, toys, open diaper packages, or used baby clothing. We are very thankful for your kindness.

Tributes: Honorariums & Memorials
A tribute can be in honor of your parent for Mother’s or Father’s Day, a birthday, graduation, wedding, or anniversary milestone, or it can be in memory of a departed loved one.
Your tribute will empower a woman to choose life for her unborn baby. What a wonderful way to honor or memorialize a loved one! Make a Tribute Donation or Print a Tribute Form for distribution at a party or service.
Schools for Life
Schools are invited to keep Birthright Counseling St. Louis in mind when planning their events. All funds raised make it possible for Birthright STL to continue offering free professional pregnancy and postpartum counseling services, educational classes, and practical support to pregnant women and mothers who come to us for assistance with their unplanned or crisis pregnancies.
There are many creative ways for schools to participate. Call +3149625300 for more information. Donations can be made on behalf of a school, student, teacher, or staff member.
Collection Drives & Events
There are many fun ways to support Birthright moms all year long: baby showers, card parties, luncheons, trivia nights, bunko parties, dances, diaper drives, sleeper drives, etc. Events like these are so helpful to us in replenishing items for our Baby Starter Packs and Postpartum Bags, as well as allowing us to provide for the practical needs of our moms.

Christmas Cards
Each October 1st through January 1st, Birthright Counseling, St. Louis sells Christmas cards with 100% of the proceeds going to providing professional counseling and practical assistance to women in our area.
In October, new Christmas Card information will be available with information on how your organization can participate by selling Birthright Counseling Christmas Cards.
Legacy Giving
In effort to ensure lasting sustainability, we have established the Birthright Counseling, St. Louis Endowment Fund. This fund offers our organization a permanent source of income. Annual distributions from the fund will allow us to keep our doors open for the abortion-vulnerable women of St. Louis and to continue our life-saving efforts.
