BIRTHRIGHT RAFFLE OFFICIAL RULES
“The Trip Of A Lifetime” Raffle (the “Raffle”) is sponsored by Friends of Birthright Counseling, St. Louis, a support group of Birthright Counseling, St. Louis, a Missouri non-profit corporation (collectively referred to as “Birthright”). This Raffle is governed by these official rules (the “Rules”). By participating in the Raffle, each participant agrees to abide by these Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understands that the results of the Raffle, as determined by Birthright and its agents, are final in all respects.

The Raffle is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.  Birthright is recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a Section 501(c)(3) organization, and a portion of your contribution may be tax deductible.  Consult your tax advisor for more information.  All proceeds of the Raffle benefit Birthright and its continued mission to protect life in all of its forms.

ELIGIBILITY
The Raffle is open to legal residents of the United States, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.

RAFFLE
The Raffle ticket sales will begin on or about November 1, 2024 and continue until January 30, 2025 or until all tickets are sold. All raffle tickets must be paid for and received by Birthright before the random drawing on January 30, 2025. Birthright reserves the right to extend or shorten the Raffle timeframe at its sole discretion.

Notwithstanding any other terms and conditions, (a) the maximum number of tickets to be sold for this Raffle is three hundred (300), (b) each Raffle ticket costs One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), (c) the sole winner will be randomly chosen at the Friends of Birthright Annual Brunch (the “Brunch”) on January 30, 2025, (d) the Raffle prize (the “Prize”)(selected from the list on the Raffle flyer) is valued at Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00); and (e) Birthright shall only be responsible for said Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) worth of travel related expenses (i.e., airfare, lodging, meals), and the Raffle winner shall be responsible for all expenses exceeding said amount. 

The winner does not need to be present at the Brunch to win.  The prize options/travel destinations have been generously provided by Debstinations Travel (https://debstinations.com/).

HOW TO ENTER
In order to purchase Raffle tickets, participants must register and pay online at https://supportbirthrightstl.org/event/win-a-trip-of-a-lifetime/ via credit card, or register and pay via check at Birthright’s Brentwood office.  Upon registering and paying for the Raffle tickets, each paying participant will receive a confirmation email confirming that he/she has been entered into the Raffle.

WINNER SELECTION
All eligible Raffle tickets sold will gathered into a bowl or similar receptacle at the Brunch and a winner will be chosen at random.  If a potential Prize winner cannot be reached by Birthright within seven (7) days, using the contact information provided at the time of entry, that potential Prize winner shall forfeit the prize. Upon the request of the Birthright, the potential winner may be required to return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release and Prize Acceptance Form and IRS W-9 form in order to redeem the Prize. If a potential winner fails to comply with these Rules, that potential winner will be disqualified. A Raffle Prize winner may not be selected if an insufficient number of eligible entries are received.  In such case, participants’ money used to purchase their tickets will be refunded.

PRIZE
The Prize is a Vacation Trip to one of five pre-selected locations listed on Raffle flyer, which includes airfare and lodging.  Terms and conditions may apply. Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses which exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt and use of all or any portion of the awarded Prize are solely the responsibility of the respective Prize winner.

ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF THE PRIZE IS SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PRIZE WINNER.

ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS
The Prize is non-transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent of the Prize is permitted. Birthright and its affiliates, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Raffle, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting or these Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of the Prize. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this Raffle is unlawful and subject to possible legal action by Birthright. Birthright reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the Raffle, without notice, and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Birthright determines that the Raffle cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering or unauthorized intervention, technical failure or other cause beyond Birthright’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Raffle. In the event any tampering or unauthorized intervention may have occurred, Birthright reserves the right to void suspect entries at issue. Birthright and its affiliates, agents, and representatives, and any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online service or any other error, human or otherwise.

INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

BY ENTERING THE RAFFLE, EACH PARTICIPANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR AND ITS AFFILIATES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND/OR AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY (INCLUDING DEATH) RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT PARTICIPANT’S (AND/OR HIS/HER GUEST’S) PARTICIPATION IN THE RAFFLE AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE AND/OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. SPONSOR AND ITS AFFILIATES DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE SAFETY, CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE. SPONSOR AND ITS AFFILIATES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM OR HARDWARE RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE RAFFLE.

PUBLICITY
By participating, each participant grants Birthright permission to use his/her name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.
